EDMONTON PRIDE RUN ENDOWMENT
This year, we are excited to announce that proceeds and donations from the Pride Run will be contributed to the newly created Edmonton Pride Run Endowment at the University of Alberta's Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS). The fund will create a lasting financial legacy by providing a source of stable funding to further the work, research, and programs of the Institute, which endeavours to improve the lives of the LGBTQ community locally, nationally, and internationally.
The University of Alberta will issue tax receipts for all donations made to the Edmonton Pride Run Endowment.
The Pride Run is a volunteer-led non-profit event, with net proceeds and all donations being contributed to the Endowment. If you're curious about how money is raised and spent, we encourage you to review our financial statements.
How to Donate
Race participants each receive an individual fundraising page on Race Roster (a third-party system the Pride Run uses to accept registrations and donations). To make a donation in support of a friend or family member that is participating in the 2017 Pride Run, search for them by First Name, Last Name, or email address on the Pledge page.
You can also make a general donation to the Edmonton Pride Run & Walk which is not associated with any participant.
Thanks to your participation and generous donations in 2015 and 2016, we were able to contribute $18,600 to the Orlando Books Collective Entrance Award Endowment Fund through the Institute for Sexual Minority Studies and Services (iSMSS) at the University of Alberta.
